4. Nov. 3, 2015 – Stars 5, Bruins 3

For Tyler Seguin, it was another trip back to Boston to play against his former team, the same team he had won a Stanley Cup with in 2011.

At the time, the Stars were 10-3-0 and were coming off of their third loss of the season, a sloppy 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs. This ended up being a game for players involved in the Fourth of July trade about three years ago as Seguin would net a hat trick and former Star Loui Eriksson would score twice in the Stars’ 5-3 win.

For Seguin, the scoring started early. After Jamie Benn and Zdeno Chara got tied up Seguin and Jason Spezza skated into the zone, where Seguin would receive the puck and rifle his first of the night right over Tuukka Rask‘ left shoulder.

His second came on the power play. After Benn won a face-off, John Klingberg set up the play and passed the puck to Seguin, who skated forward a few feet and fired another one past Rask.

For his third, Seguin received a smooth cross-ice pass from Spezza and ripped one home from his patented left side, giving him a hat trick and his second power play goal of the night.
