College football preview (week three): Top 5 regional games to watch
#17 Texas A&M (2-0) at Auburn (1-1)
The Texas A&M Aggies (2-0) and Auburn Tigers (1-1) square off to open SEC play for both teams at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama. The Aggies are flying high and off to a 2-0 start after an exciting opening week win over the UCLA Bruins and an easy thrashing of the Prairie View A&M Panthers last week.
The Tigers opened the season with a close 19-13 loss at home to the #2 Clemson Tigers, but put it behind them by blowing out the Arkansas State Red Wolves last Saturday 51-14. Saturday’s matchup against Texas A&M will be the third of four straight home games to open the season for the Tigers.
Why we should watch?
Senior quarterback Trevor Knight is the point-man to a very balanced Aggie offense. He can win in the air by throwing to his favorite possession receiver, sophomore Christian Kirk or he can beat you deep by hitting senior Josh Reynolds. He can also win with his legs as he’s already rushed for three touchdowns to start the season.

Saturday Blitz
In typical Auburn fashion, the Tigers like to run the ball. They have a pair of sensational sophomore running backs in Kerryon Johnson and Kamryn Pettway. Johnson and Pettway have combined for 370 yards in the first two weeks and both each have at least one run of 47 yards.

The defenses are going to trade blows early, and this will be a very close 10-10 game at halftime. For the Aggies, Knight will run for 60 yards and a score while passing for 200 with two touchdown passes. Auburn will get a pair of 100 yard games from Johnson and Pettway. Special teams will be the deciding factor as Texas A&M squeaks out a tough road win against a tough opponent, 31-27.
