The Dallas Cowboys will face the only team that has beaten them the entire season, the New York Giants. Here’s a preview and predictions for tonight’s NFC East match-up.

Tonight, the 11-1 Dallas Cowboys face of against the 8-4 New York Giants in this NFC battle of the titans. The game, featuring two of the hottest teams in the NFL this season, has major playoff implications across the tightly contested NFC.

In what is billed as a “must-win” for the Giants and their playoff seeding is a revenge game as well as a chance to get a firmer grasp of the #1 seed in the NFC.

What are the Sport DFW staff predicting from tonight’s game? Let’s take a look in Predictions:

Reid Hanson

After facing some of the best defenses the NFL has to offer, the Dallas Cowboys will get their offense back on track against the New York Giants. Despite having the 5th ranked rushing defense, the Giants will struggle to contain an extremely motivated Ezekiel Elliott.

The Cowboys will spread the ball around through the air and pull away in the fourth quarter. Look for big numbers from Zeke, Jason Witten, and Cole Beasley. Defensively, look for Maliek Collins to continue to improve and cause chaos in the Giants’ backfield.

The regular season is winding down and the Cowboys are headed to the playoffs. A win against the Giants could go a long way locking up a first round bye and a number one seed. it could happen depending on what happens earlier in the day. But can they go into NY/NJ and win?

If I had written this two weeks ago, or even last week, I may have paused to the previous question. With Jason Pierre-Paul now being ruled out and the Giants coming off a disaster against the Steelers, I think the Cowboys will win and win pretty. The 10-day break will surely refresh the Cowboys.

I do think the Giants will be able to throw the ball, however, I don’t think they will be able to maintain it. The Giants run game is spectacularly bad and their line is a huge culprit. It is a rivalry game, but I don’t think the Giants will hang with the Cowboys very long.

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants will play in a Sunday Night Showdown that has a lot on the line. It’ll be another classic game between divisional rivals who always have the best games. If the Cowboys win this game, they’ll win the NFC East and get closer to home field advantage and a first round bye. If the Giants lose, they’re playoff chances will dwindle and can see themselves as no longer a wild card team, but on the outside looking in.

Dallas will win this game because it’s the better team with the dominant running game, and Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott are no longer the rookies the Giants beat in the week one match up.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Dak has learned from his mistakes in the first game and will know what to expect. Dak is a veteran now because he’s faced the best defenses in the league and won.

Zeke is the best running back in the league and gets better each game.

Zeke will lead the way in this game as he goes over the 100 yards rushing and scores three touchdowns.

Dak will use play action and hit Dez Bryant and Jason Witten throughout the game and pass for a few touchdowns. Dak will show the NFL why he’s a viable candidate for the MVP. Dak will throw for 285 yards and two touchdowns and Zeke will score a pair of rushing touchdowns. The Giants will be limited in their pass rush without Jason-Pierre Paul.

The game will be close for about the first two quarters, but in the second half the Cowboys will take over and dominate this game. And the winning streak will continue.

It’s been an unbelievable run to this point for the Cowboys. They’ve won a team-record 11 straight games, following a very close victory last week against the Minnesota Vikings. Now, it all comes full-circle.

Dallas heads to East Rutherford, New Jersey to face the New York Giants. They’ll take on the very team that started the Cowboys season off on the wrong foot. They have revenge on their minds. Meanwhile, the Giants have “not letting the Cowboys celebrate an NFC East Divisional Championship at our home stadium” on their minds. One team is hungry. The other is desperate. Hungry will win out.
