For the Dallas Cowboys, recent history has not treated them too kindly. But, what if you could change that?

As Super Bowl LI finished, I couldn’t help but think about the Dallas Cowboys. Don’t get me wrong, that comeback by the Patriots was epic and unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed in sports. But wow, it would have been incredible to see Dallas celebrating that kind of a win.

The last 25 years have been a roller coaster of emotions for Cowboys fans. A myriad of miscues and mediocre decisions have made them pay dearly over time. There have certainly been high points, but there were plenty of lousy moments for every single good one.

Sure, they won Super Bowls XXVII, XXVIII and XXX. But what about that 1994-95 season? What about the Campo seasons? How about when Parcells coached in Dallas?

What if Cowboys fans had the opportunity to go back and influence five key plays over the past 25 years?

What if Cowboys fans had the opportunity to go back and influence five key plays over the past 25 years? Would it make a significant difference now? What would the present look like? Would it change anything? Would you feel any better?

So, I’ve thought back over the past 25 years of Dallas Cowboys history and decided which five plays I would alter and what would have happened afterward. Here they are in chronological order.

**Heed this fair warning. It may evoke some heartbreaking emotions and open old wounds. Fight through those, though and have some fun with it.**
