Week 11 — Sunday, November 19 vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 7:30 PM CST, NBC

The Cowboys will make their second Sunday Night Football appearance of the season against one of their biggest rivals in the Philadelphia Eagles. While they defeated Philadelphia 29-23 at AT&T Stadium in their first meeting of 2016, Philly ended the Cowboys regular season with a loss. Sure, that game didn’t mean much at all aside from bragging rights, but it still stung. There’s another storyline to follow as well though that has nothing to do with revenge.

While most of the league talked about the Cowboys’ rookie QB during the season, Philadelphia’s got most of the pub before the season. Many expected Carson Wentz to take NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year honors before the season started. But then Tony Romo went down and Dak made himself known to all. But that doesn’t mean Wentz had a bad season.

He respectably finished the season 18th in the NFL in passing yards with 3,782. That placed him exactly one spot ahead of Prescott. But Dak threw seven more touchdown passes and 12 fewer interceptions, which of course made all the difference. That and his team won 13 games — nine more than Wentz.

But what the Eagles lacked last year was a consistent run game. Some think the draft will bring help in that regard and if it does, that could completely change the complexion of this ballgame. We’ll know what to expect soon enough.
