The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals will do battle on Monday Night Football. Find out which players make the best fantasy football options.

The final game of Week Three is upon us as the Dallas Cowboys will head to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. The Cowboys will be looking to bounce back in a big way against a Cardinals offense that has suffered a ton of adversity this season.

Here are some of the best fantasy football matchups from this Monday night clash.

Dallas Cowboys

Dez Bryant (Wide Receiver): Bryant will square off against shutdown cornerback, Patrick Peterson. Bryant has not won the majority of the battles against Peterson but should manage to get open on a few occasions.

The Cowboys will need to attack the Cardinals in all phases and the passing game must be sharp. Dez will be the primary weapon through the air but this could be a big game for veteran tight end, Jason Witten. With all that said, the Cardinals have given up the 5th most fantasy points to wide receivers this season This is a tough matchup so as you start Bryant, temper your expectations.

Ezekiel Elliott (Running Back): Arizona has been a very stingy run defense this season, so far. The Cardinals have faced the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts, two running attacks I would not consider elite.

They have managed to hold their first two opponents to under 80 yards rushing on 25 plus carries, that will end this week. Elliott will come out ready to have a productive week. The Cardinals are the weakest defense the team has faced all season long so expect Elliott to make his mark and finally get into the end zone.

A handful of players from the first round of fantasy football drafts finally recorded their first touchdowns on Sunday, expect Zeke to continue the trend.

Dak Prescott (Quarterback): Prescott struggled mightily against the Denver Broncos pass rush, this is not the same matchup in any way shape or form. Dak will look to bounce back against a defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

The Cardinals pass rush also leaves something to be desired and they will go up against the best offensive line in football. The game against Denver was an anomaly for the Cowboys young offense and that should not bleed into this contest. Expect Dak to have at least 20 points tonight. For fantasy football owners he is one of the safer starts of the week.

Jason Witten (Tight End): Witten has been on fire all season long, I mean he really has been the most consistent fantasy player for the Cowboys. That ends today as Witten will have to go up against the talented linebackers of the Cardinals that should keep his production down.

The Cardinals secondary is also pretty dangerous so it should be a tough contest for the Cowboys veteran tight end. The Cardinals give up the 14th fewest fantasy points to tight ends, still, it would not be surprising to see him get into the end zone.

He has had a touchdown in every game so far this season and while his numbers may not be as eye-popping as last weeks, he should still be a top red-zone target. You could do worse at tight end this week.

Cole Beasley (Wide Receiver): Slot receivers usually give the Cardinals a whole world of problems, with that said he could be in for his best game so far this season. Beasley has gotten at least five targets a game but has only managed to gain around 30 yards in each contest.

This should be the matchup Beasley’s fantasy football owners have been waiting for as he could be one of the safer options for Dak Prescott in this contest. He could be a touchdown vulture in short yardage situations so Beasley is a pretty capable flex play this week.

Arizona Cardinals

Larry Fitzgerald (Wide Receiver): The Arizona Cardinals will be without several wide receivers in this contest and that could force Carson Palmer to feed Fitzgerald the football. The Cardinals best deep threat, John Brown is likely out for this matchup and waiver wire darling JJ Nelson has been questionable at best in regards to Monday night’s status.

Fitz could be one of the few healthy wide receivers on the field for the Cardinals in what should be a pretty decent matchup. Sure some of the Cowboys starters are back on defense but is still a pretty appealing matchup.

More from Dallas Cowboys

J.J. Nelson (Wide Receiver): Nelson has been pretty good for fantasy football owners this season as he has picked up some of the slack in the Cardinals passing game. The main issue with Nelson is that he is not 100 percent. He has been limited all week but will likely be on the field.

Knowing that Nelson could potentially have a quiet week or that his night could end early thanks to injury is likely not a risk most fantasy owners will want to take. I would suggest picking up Jaron Brown who would be next in line for targets if Nelson is not 100 percent.

Cardinals running backs: Chris Johnson will likely be the only play here as the Cowboys are typically pretty stout against the run. The Cardinals banged-up offensive line will not help either as these running backs will struggle to find space against the Cowboys defensive linemen. Johnson could be a viable flex starter but I would stay away from the rest of the Cardinals running backs this week.

Carson Palmer (Quarterback): The Cowboys are middle of the pack when it comes to giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks. Palmer also has a 2-4 touchdown to interception ratio which is laughable for a quarterback of his stature.

The scary part is that the Cardinals played the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts which do not boast elite secondaries. Palmer should be better against a depleted Cowboys secondary, but he has shown a pension to make poor decisions with the football. Fantasy football owners should avoid Palmer until he shows some consistency.
