Week Five of the NFL regular season is here and fantasy football leagues have a new crop of quarterbacks and wide receivers to add to your roster.

Big injuries took out some of the brightest fantasy football stars in Week Four and some owners may need some insurance. This week there are plenty of great and productive players to help you win your matchup as some waiver wire prospects are looking stronger than ever.

Whether you need a running back, wide receiver, or even a quarterback there are some excellent options awaiting you in free agency. Here are some of the top waiver pickups for Week Five.

Quarterbacks

DeShaun Watson (Houston Texans): Watson had an absolutely incredible game in Week Four as he trounced the Tennessee Titans recording four passing touchdowns, and a rushing score.

It was an explosion like no one has seen from a rookie signal caller in quite some time. Watson looks like a star but gets a rough matchup in Week Five as the Texans take on the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs. He will be one of the first waiver claims owners put in this week.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Jared Goff (Los Angeles Rams): Goff is the second quarterback on the rise in fantasy football as he put up 20 plus points against the Dallas Cowboys in a Week Four win. With a 7-1 touchdown to interception ratio on the season, Goff is one of the better options to add to your roster.

The main issue with him is his schedule moving forward. Goff will see the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, Houston Texans, and Minnesota Vikings in the upcoming weeks.

That is a tall order for a second-year quarterback regardless of how he is performing. Still, he is worth an add for fantasy football owners who need a bye week replacement.

Wide Receiver

Jaron Brown (Arizona Cardinals): Brown (no, not John Brown) has found himself hitting double-digit fantasy points and that does make him an intriguing option. He has seen 10 plus targets in two games this season and has proven to be a reliable target for Carson Palmer. Brown has a terrific matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles this week where he is expected to build on his impressive Week Four performance.

Adam Humphries (Tampa Bay Buccaneers): Humphries has been one of Jameis Winston’s most reliable targets when it comes to moving the chains. He has seen 5 plus targets over the last two weeks and should look to carve out a bigger role in the coming weeks.

While he has not scored a touchdown he has tremendous upside in PPR formats and is seeing a volume of targets that makes him a good addition to standard league teams. He also has a fantastic matchup this week as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the New England Patriots and their banged up defense.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (Pittsburgh Steelers): Schuster is a bit of a stretch but if you are absolutely in need of a wide receiver you could do worse this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars cornerbacks will have their hands full with Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant so Schuster could see a bigger volume of targets.

He has scored two touchdowns this season and a common theme in both games was that the Steelers were facing stiff competition. With another difficult matchup ahead, Schuster could see a lot of opportunities in Week Five.
