With the Dallas Cowboys having ten picks in the 2018 draft, best guess is they will try to move around in the draft a little. A few positions will probably be addressed in free agency and could alter the draft needs quite a bit. The draft is thin in some positions right now, but as the Senior Bowl and Combines occur, players will rise and fall.

One position the Cowboys could address is a veteran quarterback to help out Dak Prescott, but also a young project to battle with Cooper Rush. Nic Shimonek played in the Big 12 and is not considered more than a project due to the conference defensive issues (this is WalterFootball not just my opinion). They will need arms either way for the rookie mini camp.

Dallas has a young nucleus of talent they’d like to build around but also believe they can win right now. They will be actively seeking players who can check both boxes when they make their draft selections.

So there it is, the first mock draft of 2018. A little bit of everything and possibly some good choices to keep an eye on. There will be more mock drafts and predictions for free agency, but we have to start somewhere.
