Round 2 – Isaiah Wynn – OT – Georgia

They say “Games are won and lost in the trenches.”  After selecting a defensive lineman in the first round, I think the Cowboys go offensive lineman in the second round.  Tackle Isaiah Wynn from the University of Georgia would be a terrific selection for Dallas.  Wynn has been solid for Georgia’s Offensive Line for his tenure there.  Running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel enjoyed successful seasons with the help of Wynn’s contributions.

One of Wynn’s best traits is that he is a top-notch run blocker and has the skillfulness to get to the second level.  Since Dallas’ offense is tailored to the run, this is a match made in Heaven. Wynn is also a reliable pass protector.

He can give Dak Prescott the time he needs to go throw his progressions.Due to his lack of size, he would likely move to guard in the NFL.  Wynn could solidify the left guard position for Dallas and allow Jonathan Cooper to slide into a backup role.

Injuries and some struggling were a problem for the Cowboys offensive line in 2017 but adding Wynn would improve the already best offensive line in football.  Under the tutelage of the All-Pros on the Cowboys line, Wynn could become a significant part of the Cowboys future.
