Draft Summary

So what have we learned after all ten picks are handed in? The Dallas Cowboys want to provide Dak Prescott with a multitude of weapons and vary the style of receivers that are on their roster. The addition of a big target and some deep threats will only help the Cowboys passing attack. Dallas has already bought in on rebuilding their defense so that had to continue.

Selecting the best strong safety in the draft allows the Cowboys defense to be more balanced on the back end. The addition of talented linebackers allows this defense to rely less on Sean Lee and Jaylon Smith.

New additions to the defensive line only bolster the unit and provide the quality depth this team had lacked for so long. A new defensive tackle and defensive end will only push their teammates into being a more productive unit as a whole.

Adding a cornerback in the third round allows Dallas to maintain their depth at the cornerback position after likely seeing Orlando Scandrick get traded or released. With this approach, the Cowboys have addressed all of their major needs and should have a lot more firepower for the 2018 season.
