4th Round – Jaleel Scott – Wide Receiver – New Mexico State

Another Senior Bowl guy, Scott is probably the biggest wide receiver in terms of size in the 2018 NFL draft. The Dallas Cowboys need several new weapons for quarterback Dak Prescott and Scott is one of them.

A big target who has good hands and can be a mismatch to defenders all game long. Scott would be an excellent red zone target as the Cowboys look to rebuild their receiving corps. He would also help out Dez Bryant by just taking the field.

Opposing teams would have no choice but to double Scott in most situations. The offensive possibilities for the New Mexico State star are endless and he would make a perfect addition to the Cowboys offense. He is also not as raw as some of the other prospects at wide receiver in this class. He has pretty capable route running abilities and can make plays.

One thing he may struggle with at the next level is speed, as scouts are not certain that he is quick enough to get separation. Even if he lacks the speed of his other wide receiving prospects, Scott’s body type is incredibly rare for the position.

The alternative pick here would likely be another linebacker and Worley could be the best possible option available. He would not be a middle linebacker in the NFL but would make an interesting hybrid linebacker.

Worley has adequate coverage skills and a nose for ball carriers. The Cowboys could fortify their linebacking corps and select the best linebacker available at the end of the fourth round at the same time.

Alternative Pick: Chris Worley – Linebacker – Ohio State
