4th Round – 137th overall [TRADE]: Nyheim Hines (N.C. State): The Dallas Cowboys finally find a compliment for Ezekiel Elliott in the fourth round as they snag this versatile runner from North Carolina State. Hines is the closest player to Alvin Kamara in this draft as he can catch the ball just as effectively as he can run it.

He may not be able to become the lead back in an offense but he does not need to be with Dallas. He would instantly become the perfect change of pace back for this roster and a cheap option at the position for the foreseeable future.

He would make this offense more “Dak Friendly” by giving Prescott an added receiver coming out of the backfield. Hines does still need to grow in certain areas such as finding cutback lanes and seeing the field better.

He is the only player on this list the Cowboys have not met with but considering the backs they have met with will probably be gone Hines could be the best option. He also needs to work on how elusive he can be as asking for contact in the NFL will likely get you hurt sooner rather than later.

Alternate Pick: Equanimeous St. Brown (Notre Dame): The Cowboys will only pursue a wide receiver here if they do not go back to back at the position during the earlier rounds. Brown has the size and speed to become a dominating force at the wide receiver position.

He can break away from physical cornerbacks but needs to do so earlier on in his routes. He would be looking to take over Terrance Williams role and should have more success. He can play at both outside positions and in the slot making him a very versatile receiver.

His ability to catch the ball and gain yards is extremely valuable as that is one of his best traits. He can focus hard and making the important catches and could be a playmaker at the next level. He also needs to work on catching the football through contact as that will only get more difficult in the pros.

Any talented wide receiver the Cowboys bring in especially as a young prospect will help this ball club in the long run.
