6th Round – 208th overall: Poona Ford (Texas): Ford is a good dart throw in terms of looking at the nose tackle position. He is one of the lesser players in terms of physical attributes in this draft class.

Standing at 5’11 and weighing 303 LBS Ford is not your typical nose tackle. He could fit in the Cowboys scheme, as in the 4-3 your defensive tackles do not necessarily need to be physical specimens.

He has excellent power that generates from his lower body and terrific lower body flexibility. At the very least, Ford has shown heart but there is so much more to his game. He can be disruptive and challenge reach blocks. His size may give some teams pause however the Cowboys could find a hidden gem in selecting this nose tackle.

Alternate Pick: Cedrick Wilson (Boise State): Wilson is a project player who could be a sleeper talent for the Dallas Cowboys come draft time. He has only been a wide receiver for about four years and two of those years were in college.

He has continued to get better and better as time has gone on and should continue that process in the pros. He seems to excel as a slot wide receiver but has some skills at on the outside. He is a receiver who has a terrific work ethic and will do whatever he can to help benefit the team.
