Round 6, Pick 208: Cole Madison-Offensive Lineman- (Washington State)

The Dallas Cowboys will select Madison on the notion they can turn him into a top-tier NFL guard (or at least an average one). Madison is efficient in space and a decent run blocker but can be beaten in pass protection.

If Madison can mature into an effective run block on the NFL level he could end up having a pretty important role on this team. Adding another player who is looking more and more like a guard every day would not hurt either considering that Dallas took a tackle earlier on.

This also bucks the trend of the Cowboys taking a tight end this late in the draft, come on guys it rarely pans out. With so many pass-heavy offenses in the NFL Madison will likely have a hard time getting drafted before the fifth round and even then, could be too rich for a few teams draft boards. The Cowboys taking him with their sixth pick makes sense on paper.

With the addition of Braden Smith and Madison, the team can finally feel as if their offensive line issues have been addressed.
