Christian Kirk (Texas A&M): The local kid from Texas A&M should be selected towards the end of the first round but I do not know if the Dallas Cowboys would take him as high as 19. He also is predominantly a slot receiver, something that the Cowboys do not actually need.

He can line up outside but that is not his specialty. He can also be utilized as a gadget player with designed runs but once again that is not necessarily in the Cowboys wheelhouse. He is a good punt returner but Dallas also has two of those already in Ryan Switzer and Deonte Thompson.

He did bench more than the other players on this list but should have been faster for his size. Kirk is really outside of the top three when it comes to wide receiver prospects unless you are looking for a slot player.

There is a solid chance that most of the wide receiver prospects on draft boards will be available while the Cowboys are on the clock so taking Kirk would make little sense. If Dallas does trade up in the second round, Kirk could be there and he may be too good of a value to pass up in that scenario.

Chance of being selected by the Dallas Cowboys: 45 percent

So what have we learned from this? It is pretty clear these four guys are who the Dallas Cowboys have in mind for the 19th pick. These five receivers are at the top of their draft class and represent a new beginning for the Cowboys receiving corps.
