Sounds like a rhetorical question does it not? If any Texas Rangers fans are still out there in the crevices of the MLB fan parade, this is a message for you: Texas is in a rebuilding period! What does that mean? Well no one is really sure, but baseball is a game of the “haves” and the “have-nots.” Well right now, the Rangers are definitely a have-not.

Essentially, this means that the Texas Rangers are slowly building the pieces for them to be a top contender in a few years.. or decades. Unfortunately for us in 2018, that means going through some horrid baseball that is only on the decline it seems.

But just how bad is it? How far have the Texas Rangers dug themselves into the cellar? Well do not worry because we are about to dive into some deep stats that took an unnecessary amount of time to uncover.

We will base just how bad the Rangers season has been based on three components: their series winning percentage, batting stats, and pitching stats. This year’s numbers will face Rangers teams of the past to see where we may eventually end up in October.

P.S. It is not the playoffs.
