The Dallas Cowboys will have a tough time figuring out just who their top wide receivers are. Let’s take a closer look at who can make this team.

The Dallas Cowboys will have an intense competition going on at wide receiver. Currently, the team has 12 players at receiver and only six of them will likely make the roster. What is even tougher about this competition is that so many of these players are on an equal playing field.

There are no high paid stars involved, there are just role players looking to make a name for themselves. Now one could easily assume Cole Beasley or Terrance Williams will assume the number one receiver role but that thought has been cast in doubt in recent weeks. Allen Hurns has the potential to be the best but is still one of the newer faces in the locker room.

Then you have wildcard players such as Tavon Austin, Deonte Thompson, and rookies Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson. There is a lot of opportunity available to these receivers as the team tries to figure out whether or not they have an offensive model that works.

For now let’s try to rank these players based off of their stats, contracts, physical attributes, and experience. So here is the number one wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys heading into 2018.
