Terrance Williams: At 28 there is no reason that Williams should not be expected to be the number one guy in this offense. That, however, has not been the case. Off the field issues, injuries, and an overall lack of production in 2017 has turned one of the Cowboys more familiar into a giant question mark.

Williams had 0 touchdowns and his lowest yardage total in 2017, that is not a good sign. He has had five seasons in the NFL and is seemingly regressing. The most receptions he has seen in a single season has been 52 and the most touchdowns he has recorded (8) came in 2014.

He is one of the few players who has started in 16 games and has been with this offense for quite a long period of time. In 2015 he had his most productive season from a yardage perspective as he recorded 840 receiving yards.

Now I know what a lot of Cowboy Nation has been saying, cut Williams and focus on the youth. That would be a terrific idea if the Cowboys did not have to pay to release him, he would cost the team around three million if he were to be released.

So that is not an option unless a. his level of play has fallen off dramatically, b. he does something unforgivable off the field. Other than that the Cowboys will likely have to keep him on the roster.

As a third-round pick, he has been given more leeway than other receivers on this roster however his time in Dallas may be nearing an end. The Dallas Cowboys drafted another receiver in the third round and this time he is a production machine.

I would expect Williams to get pushed for snaps immediately by the next player on this list.
