The Blues, who also missed the playoff along with the Blackhawks and Stars, selected German-born Dominik Bokk, who played for Vaxjo in Sweden. In 35 games for Vaxjo’s junior team, Bokk registered 41 points (14 G, 27 A) in just 35 games. He exploded the year before, recording a monstrous 71 points (34 G, 37 A) in 41 games for Koln Jr.

Bokk also was on Germany’s U20 roster at the IIHF WC in Division 1-A. He finished the tournament with 5 points in five games (1 G, 4 A). He is a good asset for the St. Louis offense. The 18-year-old offensive stud will be joining right wingers Vladimir Tarasenko, Scottie Upshall, Chris Thorburn, Nikita Soshnikov, and Dmitrij Jaskin in St. Louis. Bokk might just be one of the better steals of the first round, as the NHL rankings had him as the 12th best European skater available.
