Dallas Stars: The Biggest Free Agency Needs for Every Team in the Central Division
Nashville Predators
The Preds only have a few players who will become free agents. They are Miikka Salomaki (RFA), Ryan Hartman (RFA), Scott Hartnell (UFA), Alexei Emelin (UFA), and goaltenders Juuse Saros (RFA), and Anders Lindback (UFA).
Their entire defensive core (aside from Emelin) is signed through this year. They might try to find a backup goalie to fill the roster behind Pekka Rinne, who becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. They also might fill out the left and right wing position. Their targets may include:
Michael Grabner, RW
- Team in 2017-18: NYR/New Jersey
- Points: 36 (27 G, 9 A)
- Cap hit last season: $1.65 million
Patrick Maroon, LW
- Team in 2017-18: Edmonton/New Jersey
- Points: 43 (17 G, 26 A)
- Cap hit last season: $2 million
Antoine Roussel, LW
- Team in 2017-18: Dallas Stars
- Points: 17 (5 G, 12 A)
- Cap hit in 2017-18: $2 million
