Dallas Stars: Grading Each Central Division Team After Week One of Free Agency

Colorado Avalanche – C+

The Avalanche inked LW Matt Calvert and D Ian Cole to three-year contracts. They also signed LW Sheldon Dries to a one-year, entry-level contract. Additionally, they added RW Scott Kosmachuk to a one-year contract.

In net, they re-signed G Joe Cannata to a one-season deal.
The Avs lost a few big names, namely RW Nail Yakupov (SKA St. Petersburg, KHL), G Jonathan Bernier (Detroit), and LW Blake Comeau (Dallas).

Colorado did add some names to help them out next season, but they lost more than what they got back.
