Top Goal Scorer – Patrik Laine

In two seasons in the NHL, Patrik Laine has easily risen to superstar status. In his rookie season, he scored 64 points (36 G, 28 A) in 73 games.

Last season, his second season in the league, he lasered home 44 goals and 26 assists in 82 games. His goal total landed him second in the NHL behind Alex Ovechkin, who scored 49.

Laine’s numbers keep getting better and better. Considering that he will also be looking for a large extension, the better he plays the more money he’ll make. With an offensive powerhouse like Winnipeg, look for Laine to light the lamp the most out of any other player in the Central Division.

Patrik Laine is the future of the Jets and will make many strides for several years to come. After seeing what he has been able to produce in Winnipeg over the past two seasons, it’s evident that he has become one of, if not the most, dangerous scorer in the National Hockey League.

It is possible for Tyler Seguin, Vladimir Tarasenko, or even Patrick Kane to come close, but there isn’t a lot of doubt in my mind that, if he stays healthy, Laine will explode in the goal category again this year.
