Dallas Stars: Taking a Look at the Stars’ Best Prospects

Right Wingers

  • Nicholas Caamano

Caamano was selected in the 5th round (146th overall) in the 2016 NHL draft.

Caamano played with both the Flint Firebirds and the Hamilton Bulldogs last season. With Flint, he had 21 points (12 G, 9 A) in 23 games. With Hamilton, he scored 36 goals (13 G, 23 A) in 41 games.

In the 2016-17 season, he exploded with Flint, registering 64 points (35 G, 29 A) in 67 games. He was called up to the AHL and had three assists in six games with the Texas Stars.

  • Tony Calderone

Calderone was the captain for the University of Michigan’s hockey team and scored 45 points (25 G, 20 A) in 40 games. He played three games with the Texas Stars and scored one goal.

Earlier this year in April, Calderone signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Stars.

  • Joel L’Esperance

Joel L’Esperance played with Michigan Tech last season and scored 27 points (12 G, 15 A) in 44 games and served as their assistant captain. He also played nine games for the Texas Stars and scored one goal and one assist.

In 2016-17, he scored 28 points (11 G, 17 A) for Michigan Tech, and in 2015-16, his sophomore year, he registered 26 points (16 G, 10 A).

L’Esperance signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars on July 1st.
