The linebacking corps is stronger than ever and each one of these players resembles what the Dallas Cowboys want in a defender. Leighton Vander Esch has looked every bit the part of a first round pick flying all over the field.

He also seems like he will eventually become a tackling machine just like veteran Sean Lee. The Cowboys most prolific linebacker has not yet seen the field in preseason but will be leading this unit of defenders all season long. Jaylon Smith looks like an absolute monster and should finally be able to make a major impact.

He has been fun to watch and a handful for offensive players to deal with. He will come into the 2018 season as a starter and could press for Pro Bowl honors if he stays healthy. The depth guys are what we should be excited about.

Damien Wilson, Joe Thomas, and Justin March-Lillard all played incredibly against the 49ers. They looked fast and effifcient shutting down the 49ers ground game. This group as a whole did a great job in coverage as well so there are plenty of things to be excited about here.

I do think that players like Kyle Quiero and Chris Covington could end up on the practice squad as they have not yet separated themselves from their competition. I would be pretty shocked to see one of those guys supplant any linebacker I have listed for a major role.
