The Dallas Stars have hit a skid since the end of their road trip, and have been plagued with even more injuries on their roster. Here’s an update on how they’ve been doing.

If you had asked me how the Stars have been doing in the middle of their road trip a week ago, I would’ve told you that things were going well.

As of now, however, that isn’t the case.

The Dallas Stars have won just one game in their past five (1-3-1), with their last win coming against San Jose last Thursday in a narrow but successful 4-3 victory.

Dallas has managed to keep a .500 record over their past ten contests, going 5-3-2, thanks to a few clutch wins on the six-game road trip that kept the Stars occupied for a week and a half. As of Wednesday, the Stars sit at fourth in the Central Division, one point away from moving in front of the Winnipeg Jets, but also one point away from being bumped down to fifth behind the Colorado Avalanche. Here is how the Central stacks up as of now:

Dallas Stars Injury Updates

The Stars have been dealing with a plethora of injuries to start the season, much similar to the issues throughout the final year of the Lindy Ruff era during the 2016-17 season. RW Alexander Radulov has been dealing with some lower-body issues and has missed 10 games this season. He returned to the lineup on Monday night in a 2-1 loss at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets, scoring Dallas’ only tally of the game.

Stars’ defenseman John Klingberg will miss approximately a month after he had hand surgery this past weekend.

Along with Klingberg, blueliners Marc Methot and Stephen Johns have been dealing with injuries. Johns has yet to play a game this season due to post-traumatic headaches, and Methot has been kept out of the lineup due to an upper-body injury. Methot hasn’t played since Dallas beat Toronto 2-1 on Nov. 1.
