Centerman Joel L’Esperance has a hot hand this season in his first full year in the Stars’ organization. He is tied for second on the team in points with 15 (alongside Justin Dowling and Denis Gurianov, both of whom have spent time on Dallas’ roster), first in goals in another three-way tie between aforementioned Gurianov and RW Erik Condra, who was signed in the offseason.
Last season with Michigan Tech, L’Esperance finished fourth on the team in points, fourth in goals, second in shots, and second in penalty minutes. He also tallied two points in nine games with the Texas Stars.

Stars’ 2016 fifth round pick Colton Point, a North Bay, Ontario native, had a stellar season last year while at Colgate University, registering a strong .944 save percentage in 33 games. He recorded a career-high six shutouts, 16 wins, and 982 saves. His highest save count in a single game was 51 against Harvard University earlier this year in January.
Point was a CCM Second Team All-American, a top 10 Hobey Baker Award Finalist, a Mike Richter Award Finalist, and an ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year Finalist (among other honors) at the end of last season. He also played one game for Canda at the World Juniors over the summer, where he recorded a shutout.
Since joining the Stars’ organization, Point has split his time between the Texas Stars of the AHL and the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.
