Round 4 – Rock Ya-Sin – Cornerback – Temple

Right now only scouts and insane people like me really know who Rock Ya-Sin is. But I promise he will be a name to watch as the draft gets closer. Easily the best Temple player on defense (and perhaps the team), Ya-Sin would be a great addition in the secondary. He is solid in man-to-man coverage and at 6’2” 190 pounds and a 4.4 40 time, Ya-Sin is starting to turn heads.

What could hurt Ya-Sin is this was his only season in Div I. Previously he played Presbyterian College, and the AAC is not the strongest of conferences. However, he has played well enough to probably earn a trip to the Senior Bowl. If he can show up against that competition, he may not last until the fourth round. For now, we will keep him here.

The Cowboys need some help at corner, not a lot, but some. Ya-Sin could come in and play as part of the rotation. He could be a vital piece to a strong defense for several years. There are several way the Cowboys could go here, but again I went with best available. There isn’t much left on the offensive line right now, and receiver looks stacked. Safety is a possibility, but I have a feeling that might be a free agency thing.
