With the Dallas Cowboys’ season ending it is time to turn our attention to the offseason. There is no better thing to start that discussion with than a mock draft.

The Dallas Cowboys’ season has come to an end. Once the weekends watching football, attention turns to the offseason. It starts with free agency, then it turns to the draft. Oh, the NFL Draft, we all love it. Welcome to mock draft season!

As per the usual I used Fanspeak’s draft found here. I ran 12 simulations and the name that came up most is the name seen here. I went with Best Player Available, or BPA, unless it was absolutely ridiculous. I also used several “big boards” so if a fairly consensus first rounder drops to the 3rd or 4th round they would not be picked. Since the draft rankings are fairly fluid at this point this is surely to change.

I also did not add in any compensatory picks, although right now it is believed the Cowboys will only get a 4th rounder for Anthony HItchens. You may not see a certain position in the draft, well, it is because I believe some of the needs for this team will be met in free agency. So it allowed me to not force a draft pick by needing a safety, tight end, or some other position early. Anyway, without further ado, the first mock draft of the offseason.
