Round 3 – Nasir Adderley – Safety – Delaware

With all of the talk of the Dallas Cowboys resurgent defense, the safety play has been good, but there were some chinks in the armor so to speak. Safety could be filled in free agency, but it can’t hurt to add to the position. Adderley would be a fantastic addition if the need isn’t filled in free agency.

So as I went through the draft Adderley kept popping up to the top of the board. I went and found what I could on Adderley and to be honest, I will be slightly surprised if he makes it to the third round. For now, I think he is under the radar, as he is projected between the 3rd and 5th rounds. Best guess is after the combine his stock will shoot up. It is hard to find a ton wrong with him.

He isn’t really a man-to-man safety, but some of that could be the defense that Delaware runs. He has huge range, great ball skills, good solid footwork, and side to side speed for days. He will need to work on his hand usage and man coverage skills, but could be a starter within his first season if he can fix some small things. This is a young man to watch.
