After the news of the Dallas Cowboys making an offer to DeMarcus Lawrence, the suspension of Randy Gregory, and David Irving probably leaving, a new mock has a new direction.

What a week it has been in the world of the Dallas Cowboys. Stephen Jones has said there was an offer made to DeMarcus Lawrence, then shortly after news broke that Randy Gregory has been indefinitely suspended by the NFL. Rumors have swirled that David Irving won’t return, and the presence of Earl Thomas in Texas has people wondering if this is the year he becomes a Cowboy. All of this impacts the mock drafts, and this one is no different.

For ground rules, this is not a dream mock where we pick who we would love to fall to the Cowboys, but we use simulators to predict how the draft will fall and who will be available. For this mock I used both Fanspeak’s mock simulator and the new Draft Network simulator. I ran multiple simulations and the most often picked player is the name you see here. I used multiple “Big Boards”, my own rankings, and used evals from all over as well as my own tape reviews.

There are no trades in this mock, and I am assuming the Cowboys make a move in free agency for a safety at the very least. Enjoy the mock draft and please leave comments below. Now, on to the draft.
