Dallas Cowboys Draft: 10 Defensive Tackles and their Potential Fit
It seems no matter how much we want the Cowboys to find a stable Defensive Tackle, the Dallas Cowboys can’t seem to find the solution. So today, I’ll be continuing the 10 prospect series in hopes that I can bring a Defensive Tackle to our beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Fortunately, the Cowboys have been able to find bargains this free agency. First it was Christian Covington, then Kerry Ryder, Randall Cobb, and now George Iloka. All these players fill in holes but aren’t currently signed up for the long haul. Cobb, Iloka, and Covington have all signed one year deals with the Cowboys.
So, this does mean the Cowboys will have to invest in some quality depth with the hope that they take over at some point in their respective careers. The expectation is that Covington is going to be an underrated signing, but what happens after that?
At the same time, the Cowboys haven’t valued their interior defensive linemen as much as their edge rushers so it comes as no surprise as to why they haven’t found consistent success at that spot. There will be a lot of really good defensive tackle talent at the top of this draft, but would the Cowboys pull the trigger in the second round for a defensive tackle?
With the hope that things could change this draft season, here are 10 tackles the Cowboys could look to draft and what their fit is for the team.
