Dallas Cowboys: Undrafted Free Agents, Who Are They?

After every draft, the Dallas Cowboys scoop up young players who weren’t picked up during the draft so here is this year’s undrafted free agent class.

Far too often when people ask me about what I think of the Dallas Cowboys drafts, people are surprised when I mention the undrafted free agents. They may not always be the flashiest names, but time and time again many have turned into contributors, and some have become stars.

Most people have no idea who some of these players are, so let’s break down each one as we know so far. This undrafted free agent class may prove to one of their best in recent memory (which is saying a lot).

The Dallas Cowboys went into the draft with few true “needs”. They went with “Best Player Available” in the draft and passed on what many felt was a need, for example a safety. After the seven rounds of the draft, the Cowboys went straight to work scooping up players in hopes they find a gem or two.

Let’s take a look at the guys the Cowboys signed right after the draft. There are two names I had thought would have been drafted, so I was already familiar with them. I went back and looked at the players, watched some of their game play, read up on them, and below you will see some sort of evaluation on them. Enjoy!
