For the last several seasons, the Dallas Cowboys have been loaded with talent . But because of inept coaching, this team has gone as far as it can go.

Ole Jerry Jones has been the owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys since February of 1989, and I love to call him “Mr. Hype-machine personified” because of the way he promotes the the Cowboys’ brand to no end.

Jerry promotes the Cowboys as if he’s the mascot and face of the franchise rather than Dak Prescott or any Hall of Famer that played for America’s Team.

Because of Jerry’s propaganda machine of everything Cowboys, his football franchise is the most valued one in the world at $5 billion dollars.

That speaks volumes considering the Cowboys have not won a Super Bowl since the 1995 regular season, and it was the third one in a four-year span.

Man, the Cowboys haven’t sniffed an NFC championship game since 1995. Something is very wrong for that happen.

Although the Cowboys are the most valued sports franchise in the world, Jerry cannot and will not hire a coach with a backbone to end the Super Bowl drought that plagues Cowboys Nation like a curse in a Harry Potter novel.

Dallas has too much young talent to waste away with below average coaching and a young quarterback that’s playing on an MVP-caliber level. Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley would cut up like a kid in a candy store with Dak as his quarterback and the offensive weapons around him.

And after having his puppet coach the Cowboys for 10 seasons ( Jason Garrett), its time for Jerry to fire Coach Clapper and find a coach that can take a talented and young team to the Super Bowl and win it all. Period.

After watching Coach Clapper clap louder than thunderstorm at Gillette Stadium in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, its time for Coach Clapp-A-Lot to retire and take his talents to a Sunday morning church service and clap as loud as he wants.

Coach Clapper squandered a golden opportunity to beat Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick because they were missing key players on offense and because of inclement weather. It looked like a monsoon out there.

Once again Coach Clapper was out coached, out schemed, unprepared for bad weather, and lacked execution of situational football.

Instead of running the ball 50 times because of the Pats inability to stop the run, Coach Clapper failed to exploit this weakness. Basically, Dak would throw the ball on 3rd and short instead of handing it off to Ezekiel Elliott-who was doing an outstanding job picking up five to six yards per carry.

Coach Clapper’s inept coaching led to a blocked punt and to an interception thrown by Dak. To be fair, it was a bad throw on Dak’s part, but a better coach would have either had Dak or Zeke run the ball or simply tell Dak not to throw an errant passes and interceptions.

Trust me, the good coaches preach the gospel of simple things.

The Pats offense turned those miscues into 10 points that led to them winning a closely battled contest. Dallas lost 13-9.

Take away those 10 points and Dallas wins the game, or take away the Pats only touchdown and Dallas still wins the game and would have a comfortable two-game lead over the evil Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas would have an opportunity to increase its lead to three game with a win over the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving Day.

The Pats game was tailored made for Dallas to win because of the inclement weather and because of Dallas’ powerful running game. Simply feeding Zeke 30 or more times would have kept Dallas’ defense off the field and allowed Dak to be more conservative with his passes.

The Pats loss epitomizes Coach Clapper’s coaching woes. In every loss this season, you can see where Coach Clapper’s team didn’t take advantage of opponents’ weaknesses and how he didn’t make in game adjustments.

The sad reality is that in all of Dallas’ losses, each team was missing star players. Those names include Drew Brees, Davante Adams, Adam Thielen, Mohamed Sanu, and other key contributors.  Dallas was favored to win all of those games and lost in a disappointed fashion.

Losing to the New York Jets is unacceptable even in Pee-Wee football.

That’s why Coach Clapper has to go, and Jerry must put his ego aside and hire a winning coach like he did back in 2003 when he did the unthinkable and hired Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells.

The Big Tuna put Dallas back on the map and found an undrafted quarterback out of Eastern Illinois named Tony Romo that became Dallas’ franchise leader in several categories.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Dallas has too much young talent to waste away with below average coaching and a young quarterback that’s playing on an MVP-caliber level. Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley would cut up like a kid in a candy store with Dak as his quarterback and the offensive weapons around him.

Just think of the creativity and mismatches Dallas would have over opposing teams. All Riley would need is a  really good, and hard nosed veteran defensive coordinator to run the defense and boom, this team is on its way to greener pastures.

Riley would be a good coaching candidate because the NFL is adapting to the college game- along with any other proven NFL coaches like Mike McCarthy or any other up and coming coordinator that can take this talented team to at least an NFC Championship game.

Jerry turned 77 in October and he admitted to wasting all of Romo’s good years by not surrounding him with a well balanced team on both sides of the ball.

Next. Jason Garrett's disastrous take on Analytics. dark

Really? So you know he doesn’t want to do that with Dak.

So with Jerry up in age, having a talented team, and a small window of opportunity to win a Lombardi Trophy, Jerry will suck in his pride and hire a Super Bowl winning coach for America’s Team because its now or never.
