There are a few guys that could both drop and rise that should be considered. The position may not be a total need, but the talent is undeniable. I do not expect some guys like Chase Young, CeeDee Lamb, or Derrick Brown to drop, but any of those should be scooped up immediately. Only a QB dropping should be out unless the new head coach wants a new direction.

The droppers that could happen just based on needs and how the top of the draft falls out start with A.J Epenesa. He is elite at defensive end but his “bend” could hold him up a little. Jeffrey Okudah at corner is another name that if he drops should be grabbed. An elite corner who need works in zone coverage, but is so talented could be your number one corner for a long time.

The risers are much longer but the list starts at Xavier McKinney at safety. McKinney is really good at everything, but his speed isn’t elite, but everything else shows that he can be a top flight safety. Shaun Wade at corner is another name that could rise if he can show he is good without Okudah on the other side of him.

On the offensive side a name like Brycen Hopkins at tight end could wow enough to warrant a first round selection with his smooth route running and soft hands, if he can show he is a great blocker he could move into the first round, and Laviska Shenault Jr.at wide receiver will be a name people will get to know as we move through the process. He doesn’t have a true home as a WR or H-Back, but his talent and playmaking skills are elite and a creative head coach could make him the next elite weapon.
