We will learn more

It is still really early in the draft process. There are bowl games, the Senior Bowl, the Combine, and private workouts to still happen. At this point the Cowboys might need a lot as they have over 20 free agents and a looming head coaching change. The names may change, but the positions may not.

More from Dallas Cowboys

What we don’t know yet is the direction of the team, so any names above could change at the drop of a hat. We do know there will probably be a new direction barring a miracle. Right now the Cowboys could conceivably need a S, DT, WR, LB, DE, backup QB, G, TE, CB, and LB. There are a lot of moving parts right now.

A new head coach will probably change the view on player evaluation, even slightly. Add in a new staff, potentially a new scheme, and Jerry Jones with contract negotiations, there could be very few positions that could be “safe”. The next few months will tell us more, but for now these are some names to watch.

Next. The Dallas Cowboys waste another year of everyone’s time. dark

It should be an interesting offseason, but between the 10th and 15th picks, it is a little bit of a “no man’s land”. There is talent, and names to watch.
