#8-Joey Gallo‘s MLB Debut (2015)

Joey Gallo made his MLB debut for the Texas Rangers in 2015, and he put on a show for all of those that payed attention for his much-anticipated debut. He entered the season as a unanimous top 15 prospect in baseball, as his elite power caught the eyes of everyone across baseball.

In his debut on June 2, 2015, Gallo not only showcased his power, but he also fell just a triple short of the cycle, and recorded four RBI’s. Not bad at all for a player in his first career game.

Although the rest of his rookie season was somewhat stagnant and home run or bust, Gallo’s first career game was just a sample of what he could do for the Texas Rangers, as he showed last season he is capable of being a very good everyday player, as he even made the All-Star game in 2019, before injuries derailed his season.

If Gallo’s 2019 season is telling of anything, it is that he is capable of being a very good player, even despite the high strikeout rate, that will still be able to launch balls out of Globe Life Field for years to come for the Rangers in the 2020’s.
