Dallas Cowboys: The 5 most disappointing Cowboys teams ever
By Dink Kearney
The Dallas Cowboys became America’s Team in the late 1970’s for a good reason. But since then this team has given its fanbase several unforgettably bad seasons, too.
The Dallas Cowboys are the most valued sports franchise on the planet with a net worth of $5.5 billion dollars. It has the highest rated games on television, and it has an owner that is Mr. Hype-Machine Personified in Jerry Jones. Ole Jerry loves the camera more than a COVER GIRL SUPER MODEL.
But in order for the Cowboys to be labeled as America’s Team and to become worth billions, they had to consistently win and win Super Bowls, too. The Cowboys have won five Super Bowls, have eight Super Bowl appearances, 35 playoff wins, and the Cowboys have the longest consecutive streak of winning seasons with 20.
Because the Dallas Cowboys are the most watched sports team (and the most loved and hated team at the same time), they are heavily scrutinized and their wins and losses are magnified more and etched in history.
The most recent example is how the highly favored and more talented Cowboys lost a must-win game to the their divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles, and are now sitting home during the playoffs. So with that being said, lets dive into 5 of the Cowboys’ most disappointing teams.
Side Note: One of these teams wasn’t really disappointing, but the way they lost and the way in how they lost was tragically disappointing.
