Tramon Williams

Age: 36

PFF Rank: 22

If a Band-Aid is what you’re after, you could do a whole lot worse than Tramon Williams. Turning 37-years-old in March, Tramon is one of the oldest players in the NFL. But Williams will come cheap and with little commitment, allowing Dallas to navigate freely in the draft and not feel forced to draft for need in 2020.

Williams is still a very productive coverman who has a little left in the tank.

Tramaine Brock

Age: 31

PFF Rank: 17

Tramaine Brock is another no-so-traditional option the Dallas Cowboys could turn to. The 31-year-old journeymen has had an up and down career and may be quite the bargain this year in free agency. After all the top names get scooped up the first week, the bargain shoppers like the Dallas Cowboys come out and do their thing. And chances are, Tramaine Brock will be one of their options.

Brock had down seasons in 2017 and 2018 but rebounded considerably last season, starting and finishing fairly strong. He played poorly in the middle which led to his dispatch from Arizona but played well again in Tennessee.

His coverage grade on the season is better than any of the Dallas Cowboys CBs and he even elevated his game in postseason play. Brock’s tackling is pretty atrocious. And his bi-polar play is sure to make teams nervous, but he’s not going to be very expensive and if it’s Dallas’ intention to save money, he’s a good way to do it.
