Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte is the only team on this list that the Mavericks have played but haven’t beaten. Since their last game in early January, not much has changed for the Hornets. Charlotte is still well outside the playoff race even with a roster that has an identity to it.

But that won’t stop them from a stealing a win. The hot shooting of guards Terry Rozier and Devonte Graham can make things very difficult, very quickly as it did the first time around. (The Hornets converted 44 percent of their three-point shots in their previous matchup against Dallas.)

A front court of PJ Washington and Cody Zeller is young, but is very good at rebounding. Washington can also space the floor opening up opportunities for small forward Miles Bridges and guard Terry Rozier to drive to the basket.

On this list, a win against Charlotte feels like the most likely to occur, but seeing as that wasn’t the result the last time the teams met that clearly isn’t the case.

Dallas is currently in an interesting situation. One game behind the Houston Rockets and currently tied with Oklahoma City, these five games could go a long way in deciding the morale of the team as they approach All-Star break and the end of the season. Hopefully in the end we see Dallas comfortably in the playoffs instead of the opposite.
