Wrap up

There’s a lot to consider here in the draft. Spending big at the top gets the best possible result but essentially wastes the draft’s biggest strength: depth at WR. And given Dallas’ needs on defense, I’m not sure that’s something they want to do anyway.

This draft is rather deep and other names like Jalen Reagor should also be considered. The top end speed was on display and there can be speed found throughout the draft. The Cowboys need more speed and while they could go with a jump-ball specialist, I believe speed is where they will lean.

The Cowboys need more on special teams, so any player who can play on them is also someone to watch at any position. Free agency should lend more insight to how the Cowboys will lean in the draft, but in a draft class as deep as this is at wide receiver, I find it hard to believe they won’t get someone.

Five players to watch at receiver, some other names to put in the back of your mind as well. With such a deep class, some are bound to drop and a name could end up being a steal. For now, we keep them where they are in the draft, with an eye on how it all shakes out.
