If Gallimore and Blacklock fall in the second they should be the top names to watch. Most likely they will be gone by the 51st pick and the names of Justin Madubuike and Marlon Davidson will be the names hanging around here. For fit, Justin Madubuike might be the better pick here. It will also help that the Cowboys probably know a lot about him from him playing at Texas A&M.

Madubuike fits a little better due to his ability to play almost across the defensive front. He can play 0-technique, 3-technique, and defensive end in a 3 man front. Perfect for the “hybrid” defense the Cowboys have said they may run this year. His first step is powerful and his hand usage is active. He doesn’t have the greatest length, but has the athleticism to adjust for it. He is a penetration guy on the defensive line and could provide some pressure the Cowboys are lacking up the middle.

Madubuike shouldn’t be asked to stack blocks and eat a lot of space, but to ask him to get upfield and use his agility to find the ball carrier is where he will excel. He is a starter and would add something the Cowboys have not had consistently inside. They may still want a block eater and run stuffer they need, but for pressure and flexibility he would be a really good addition.
