Dallas Cowboys

Round 2 – Pick 51

Justin Madubuike – Defensive Tackle – Texas A&M

I really think the Dallas Cowboys could look at wide receiver, defensive end, and defensive tackle if they get a corner in the first round. At defensive end I think Josh Uche is a real target, but may actually be gone by the time the Cowboys are on the clock. While wide receiver is a possibility, Madubuike is someone I am not sure they pass on.

Madubuike is a guy who wants to get after the quarterback on the inside of the line. He needs work on stacking offensive linemen and filling gaps, but if you want pressure and explosiveness inside, he is the guy you want. You can move him around the line and he will likely beat anyone he is up against. This works well for the Cowboys decision to use a hybrid 4-3 and 3-4 front as he can play multiple positions without losing a beat.

Linebacker/defensive end and wide receiver are considerations, but with a new corner in the secondary and needing defensive tackle help and the fact Madubuike would be BPA here, makes him the solid pick in round 2. The Cowboys could move up with the extra picks they gained as well.
