Complete Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft: Final Edition (with trades)
Dallas Cowboys
Round 3 – Pick 89
Prince Tega Wanogho – Tackle – Auburn
Prince is a powerful young tackle who has fantastic agility. He gets a first punch and can push a rush to the side and has the footwork to maintain the block as he slides. Where he really shines is when he gets into the second level and has the speed to get to his block quickly and can push the defender off the path to the ball.
He sometimes bends too much and can get a little off-balance. While if he can line up a medium lineman and maintain his footwork, it tends to break down if the defender is stronger than him or overcomes him. He has some technical things to work on, but it is more fine-tuning rather than a lot of work.
This would give the Dallas Cowboys a starting swing tackle and Prince would offer the ability to step in and play tackle early into his first year with some of the technical things worked out. He has the ceiling to be a high-end starter in the league and a year or two as a swing tackle would only help his ceiling be hit. This is a need, but also provides some depth for the future.
