Dallas Cowboys

Round 4 – Pick 132

Michael Ojemudia – Cornerback – Iowa

While there could be a safety picked up here, Ojemudia was a BPA pick and could be a steal if he is here at 132. The Cowboys need corners, and with the uncertainty of who will be on the roster after this season only makes the position more of a need. Michael Ojemudia is a corner who will need a year or two, but could become a high quality starter.

Ojemudia excels in zone coverage and is what many would consider a “ball hawk”. He has some issues with length in man coverage and would need to refine his technique, but if thrown into zone early would not hurt the defense. He is a strong and willing tackler and loves to come downhill when he can see plays develop in front of him.

Ojemudia needs some work to trust him in man coverage right away, but he has the IQ and some of his issues could be helped with better technique. He has good speed, but needs to learn how to utilize it better. If he can learn to trust himself a little more, he could be an interception machine in the future.
