Sewo Olonilua

Running Back – TCU

Sewo Olonilua  is a big running back. Standing at 6-foot-3,  240 pounds he looks more like a linebacker or safety than he does a running back. His size will immediately remind you of Derrick Henry in terms of size and frame. But Sewo shouldn’t be mistaken for Henry as a running back and frankly is more of a fullback than halfback. That’s how the Dallas Cowboys will likely see him as well.

Sewo is a short yardage specialist who really just needs to be the guy to run into the line and knock people over. While his technique in blocking needs some work, his size and power gives him the ability to stand up to most linebackers blitzing gaps. He appears to be a solid receiver out of the backfield and his size creates mismatches in the passing game.

He is not the fastest guy, nor is he really shifty. He does possess good vision and has the ability to make a cut and go, but he isn’t going to outrun defensive backs. He can bowl people over, but doesn’t shed a lot of tacklers. He has a role in the NFL, but it is fairly small and specific. He could be in the mix for fullback.
