Running Back (3)

Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, Jamize Olawale

The Dallas Cowboys are going to save a roster spot by going thin here. Because of Olawale’s ability to run the ball and the top-end ability of the top-2 running backs on the depth chart, the Dallas Cowboys can afford to go thin at running back. Especially since Zeke hasn’t really missed a game to injury to-date.

Elliott and Pollard offer the 1-2 punch and Jamize serves as the fullback. All can pass-protect, all can catch the ball, and all can run it. It’s a pretty well-rounded trio and Dallas can afford to go thin here

Tight End (3)

Blake Jarwin, Blake Bell, Dalton Schultz

The only sure thing here is Blake Jarwin. Dallas Cowboys fans have been eager to see him in a full-time role for a while and with Jason Witten now gone, 2020 is their chance. Behind him it’s a whole lotta question marks, though.

For now, we’re giving the edge to Blake Bell (a good blocking TE) and Dalton Schultz (their long-term project with versatility). But we can’t discount the 25-year old Cole Hikutini or the undrafted free agents Charlie Taumoepeau (Portland State) and Sean McKeon (Michigan). All three of those gents offer something different and all will be given a chance to unseat Bell and Schultz.
