The Dallas Cowboys lost Gerald McCoy to a season ending injury.

The Dallas Cowboys were heading into 2020 with a revamped defensive line. Robert Quinn and Maliek Collins gone, the projected starting front four were supposed to be DeMarcus Lawrence, Dontari Poe, Gerald McCoy, and recently signed Everson Griffen. But then the dark side of training camp reared it’s ugly head.

Gerald McCoy went down on Monday in a routine and  otherwise benign looking situation. But it only took a second before that benign tumble turned malignant. Now the Dallas Cowboys are left searching force answers at DT.

The depth was pretty solid and while age was a slight concern, the depth would have kept the starters fresh. That was all until Gerald McCoy went down in practice and is now out for the season.

There are quite a few options to replace McCoy, but here we will look at five very viable options. There are some lesser known free agents still out there that could be grabbed if the Cowboys decide Crawford and Neville Gallimore should be able to handle the middle. However, let’s look at some options for the team to bring in for more help on the inside of the line.
