The Texas Rangers have been ice cold over the past month, but there are still a few reasons to continue watching the team, despite the losses piling up.

The Texas Rangers have been struggling mightily since their 10-10 start, only winning three of their last 19 games, and now sitting in last in the American League West.

Despite the team doing so bad, I will point out three reasons why you should watch, or at least keep up with the team for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Reason to watch the Texas Rangers No. 1

Seeing the young players grow

It looks like the youth movement for the Texas Rangers has finally started, as the club has started to turn to its young prospects, such as Leody Taveras, Anderson Tejeda, Eli White, Kyle Cody, Taylor Hearn, and Jose Trevino.

I think this is the most significant reason to watch the team, as you get to see the young prospects that we have kept an eye on over the years.

The main guy that I have been keeping up with is Leody Taveras, who has been a player that I have anxiously been waiting for his debut over the past few years, and he has played very well since becoming the club’s everyday center fielder.

And as the season winds down for the team, you can for sure expect them to call up more young players to gain more experience as the season comes to an end, and the club begins to play more young players.

Watching players grow

This goes off of the previous point, as you will get to see those aforementioned players grow, and go through the ups and downs of the early stages of their careers for the Texas Rangers.

But on top of those guys that are very early in their careers, you can also watch the youth movement continue with some of the younger guys that have been in the majors for a few seasons in Joey Gallo, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Nick Solak, Kolby Allard, Rafael Montero, Ronald Guzman, Brett Martin, and Jonathan Hernandez.

Watching those players improve over the season, as some will look to end cold streaks (Gallo), while others will look to improve on good seasons they have had (Solak, Kiner-Falefa, and Montero).

Reason to watch the Texas Rangers No. 3

Watching the first two, while the team loses

So with how poorly the Texas Rangers have been playing, it is absolutely going to be frustrating, and possibly even unbearable to watch a team lose a lot of games.

On the flip side of that, it is somewhat enjoyable to watch young players like the guys that were listed in the first two points improve, and that will probably be one of the lone bright spots that the team has for the rest of the year.

There is a good side to the losses right now, though. The Texas Rangers are currently tied with the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates for the worst record in baseball, so as the losses continue to pile up for the team, it just means that every loss puts the Rangers closer to the first pick in the draft.
