Dak Prescott Will Throw for 5000 Yards

It is easy to say the Cowboys will have three 1000 yard receivers with the combination of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb. However, I think that the overlooked part of this offense will be the contributions of Blake Jarwin, Ezekiel Elliott, and Tony Pollard in the passing game. So much has been made of the first three, I think Mike McCarthy will use the last three more than people realize.

Blake Jarwin had flashes in 2019, but being behind Jason Witten didn’t offer him as much playing time as he deserved. When Jarwin was involved he was a threat in the passing game and his seam work was outstanding. Without Witten and not much else at tight end, Jarwin should thrive working across the middle and up the seam as teams will focus more on Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb.

If Mike McCarthy did study analytics and game film as much as he supposedly did, then he would know the mismatch and opportunities running backs can serve in the passing game. A slimmed down looking Elliott and an efficient Pollard offer exactly what the NFL is trending toward. Both Elliott and Pollard can be special in space with the ball in their hands and finding ways to get them the ball will help free up Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, and Jarwin.
