The Ugly
It is hard to determine what was worse during this game the Dallas Cowboys injuries or the officiating. The Dallas Cowboys came into the game with two players already on Injured Reserve, La’el Collins, and Sean Lee. After the game, they added three more in Leighton Vander Esch, Cameron Erving, and Blake Jarwin. Both players sustained their injuries in the first half of the game.

Jarwin tore his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season. The injury came as Jarwin was turning in his route. Many players were slipping on that new turf Sunday night. Something the Rams should take into consideration moving forward. It seems like artificial turf is responsible for a good bit of these ACL injuries.
You could almost hear the Dallas Cowboys fans sigh as Vander Esch left the game and then another after finding out it was an injury close to his neck. with a broken collar bone. Many Dallas Cowboys fans were upset at Jerry Jones for taking Vander Esch with a first-round draft choice because of his health concerns. Vander Esch will miss six to eight weeks.
Erving sprained his knee and is expected to miss between four to six weeks.
This was the Dallas Cowboys’ first game since December. This is just one game in a 16 game season. Things will get better as the season goes along. The game Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons at home should help get things back on track.
